Tasting Notes
Intense and bright violet red color. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, cherries, licorice, cardamom, bitter chocolate and tobacco. Silky texture on the palate with well-integrated tannins, medium-high acidity and a long, balanced finish.
Food Pairing
It’s sensational with lamb stew, beef Wellington, seasoned turkey, Thai red curry chicken or any kind of barbecued meat. Also ideal with kebabs, Indian or Mediterranean food.
Tech Details
- The Los Lingues vineyards are situated on the northeast border of the Colchagua Valley. The soil is of alluvial-colluvial origin and varies in texture with fine sand, clay and angled granite rocks leading to excellent water drainage.
- Manual grape cluster and berry selection prior to and post destemming. Cold maceration of grapes for 8 days at 6°C before alcoholic fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 16 days at 26-28°C. Post-ferment maceration on the grape skins for 15 days prior to draining, pressing and malolactic fermentation.
- 80% aged in 2nd & 3rd use French oak barrels and 20% aged in stainless steel tanks for 10-12 months. Aged a minimum of 6 months in bottle prior to release
